Hi and welcome to Dru Dance Teacher Training!

(Dear friends, we are postponing this event until the coronavirus situation has cleared... please feel free to read on to explore what will be available once everything is clear again!)

If you've never tried this incredible form of Dru - you're in for a treat!

In this Dru Yoga post-grad course you will have the opportunity to deeply explore the Dru Dance Hanuman (Power of Purpose) which combines yoga postures with flowing movements never seen before - to leave you feeling empowered, strong and truly believing in your unique Self!

The story of Hanuman is a story of deep symbology, which has fascinated and moved people for thousands of years. In service of King Rama Hanuman goes out to rescue the Goddess Sita from the demon Ravana - thus bringing the individual soul (Sita) back to its original freedom and power (Rama).

Over the course of our three days together you will:

•    learn how to teach the freedom and grace of Dru Dance;
•    develop physical strength and flexibility through flowing yoga postures and movements;
•    learn to apply graceful mudras to open the heart;
•    get a taste of Bhakti yoga (yoga of devotion) through the power of dance, kirtan and satsang;
•    awaken the chakras for purposeful goal setting;
•    explore the qualities of an Adhikari (spiritual seeker) which Hanuman exemplifies.

You will accrue 18 professional development hours for attendance on this post-graduate course.

These are going to be such great days together - we're all really excited and looking forward to sharing this wonderful Dru Dance with you. :-)

See you soon

Anouschka and Christiane

You'll have a great time!

The format of this weekend is a little different from our usual Dru retreats.

Here's a rough outline of what we'll be covering over our 3 days together. You will learn:
•    A dynamic Dru Dance sequence, choreographed to music, as well as how to teach this dance to others either as a workshop or as lessons;
•    Flow-ins - preparatory movements to prepare the body for the dance;
•    A break-down of the elements of the dance including the transition moves;
•    Cool downs - movements to prepare the body for relaxation after the dynamic dance moves;
•    About exploring the symbology behind the dance, including deeper aspects of yoga philosophy. You will also be invited to do your own research before the module.

There will also be:
•    observed teaching practice and informal assessments;
•    introduction to your home study/research project of this dance;
•    walks and time to balance in nature - hopefully with a bit of outdoor dancing too!
•    the rejuvenating power of deep relaxation.

On this particular module you will learn a dynamic Dru Dance sequence choreographed to music, which you can use anytime to energise and empower yourself. And, when you feel confident enough - teach it to others! As a Dru Yoga Post-Grad course this module enables you to go and teach this dance to others either as a workshop or as lessons.

You can start teaching the Dance you've learnt on this module as soon as you have completed the assessment which will take part on the module. Assessments that are not completed on the module will require a separate fee.

You are eligible for the Dru Dance teacher training once you've qualified as a student teacher. In order to teach Dru Dance you need to have gained teaching experience in Dru Yoga for at least 12 months.

After successfully completing 3 dance modules you qualify as a Dru Dance teacher.

You will receive a certificate upon completion of each dance which certifies that you are eligible to teach it.
