MORNING WORKSHOP
CHOICES

10.15am - 11.45am

Relax your way to better health through Yoga Nidra

with Nanna Coppens
10.15am - 11.45am

Is there a difference between resting and relaxing? Yoga Nidra literally means yogic sleep. More precisely it is the art of deeply relaxing body and mind so that the thought processes slow down completely while remaining conscious throughout. In the last few years it has gained popularity as a therapeutic tool to alleviate stress and anxiety, but it is much more than that.

Yoga Nidra is a spiritual practice that can lead you back to your true essence without the resistance you may experience during meditation. The only requirement is that you stay conscious throughout the process. Nanna Coppens will facilitate a transformative and deeply nurturing experience of Yoga Nidra.

Book your ticket to our summer event and make two workshop choices.

Is it possible to choose how we respond to, rather than react to, life? In this workshop you will learn powerful techniques including yoga, meditation and affirmation to help change unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour.  Learn how to detach more easily from the emotional pull of relationships and situations that trigger your stress levels and leave you feeling drained. You'll come away feeling empowered, energised and able to navigate life's challenges with a fresh perspective.

The Subtle Science of Longevity

with Chandra Goswami
2.15pm - 3.45pm

In his Yoga Sutras, Patanjali conveyed the importance of a personal daily practice, and delineated this into simple stages known as the 8 Limbs.
Looked at more closely, the journey through these stages gives us important clues to increasing our energy (prana shakti) the longevity of our life, and the subsequent positive influence we have on those around us.

In this workshop we will explore the power of:

  • sadhana, or dedicated practice, to bring steadiness and peace of mind
  • seva, or selfless service to balance our own energy and the energy around us
  • sangha, or anchoring our sense of belonging and shared purpose with like-minded friends
  • punya, or the act of manifesting positive circumstances in our lives

Yoga and Dance

with Kate Carter
2.15pm - 3.45pm

Can I build strength and suppleness, without it feeling like a workout? Dru Dance is yoga and dance combined, choreographed to uplifting music. It's stress-busting and energetic and focuses on dynamic, flowing movement to create both strength and flexibility and improve your muscle tone and stability.

This cleverly designed fusion of dance and yoga will help you to feel more alert,  energetic and feel great about yourself and it can also improve your memory.

Using Dru Yoga therapeutically you can help yourself and your students develop a strong connection with our internal life force and allow wellbeing to be powerfully brought back to balance.

Working with flowing postures and using Dru Yoga principles creates a powerful tool for health. Find out how to work with your students at a deeper level to establish long lasting change.  (Open to postgraduate level).
